Deal Sourcing Associate

Job description

  • The Deal Sourcing Associate will work as a member of the Deal Team with a focus on i) researching, evaluating and identifying merchants through web research that operate brands on the leading marketplaces in Latin America (MercadoLibre, Amazon, Linio etc.), ii) conducting competitive research and analysis on merchants and categories, iii) promoting and marketing VALOREO through extensive and persistent outreach emails and communication to prospects via email marketing systems, iv) cold-calling targets to schedule initial prospecting meetings for the Investment Team v) supporting team members on hoc analysis, special projects and reporting, vi) maintaining all activities in CRM system

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related fields from leading university and/or equivalent practical experience
  • 2+ yrs of experience in a similar role, with experience in a Business Development or B2B Sales role preferred
  • Strong relationship-building and sales skills including cold-calling and writing cold-emails
  • Extensive experience conducting market and product research, as well as analysing and profiling companies
  • Solid project management, planning, and organization skills, including ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment; ability to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to lead and navigate through ambiguity
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Outstanding written and verbal skills
  • Fluency in English & Spanish, Portuguese language skills is a plus
  • Understanding of/experience with MercadoLibre, Amazon and other marketplaces is a plus
  • This role is based in Mexico City (flexibility with regards to remote working)
